Videos Help Campus Community be NinerReady

Safety is a top priority for UNC Charlotte. To help ensure all members of the campus community know what to do in the event of an emergency, the Department of Safety and Security, in collaboration with the University’s digital communications team, created a series of three videos about the three main NinerAlert directives: seek shelter, lockdown and evacuation.

These videos serve as a training tool the campus community can use to be NinerReady.

These videos are part of a greater safety communications plan and an effort to increase emergency preparedness among all faculty, staff, students and campus visitors.

“We’ve been working on additional training tools to expand the NinerReady program for a while now,” said Chris Gonyar, director of Emergency Management. “These videos are another step toward ensuring our community is prepared for campus disruptions and emergencies.”
