February congratulations
- For the fifth consecutive year, UNC Charlotte has earned the Tree Campus USA award. Given by the Arbor Day Foundation, this national award recognizes colleges and universities that are committed to urban forest management and that engage staff and students in conservation goals. Multiple units within Facilities Management worked collaboratively to achieve this award.
- Clyde Derberry, learning and development specialist in Faciliites Management, is retiring after 10 years of service on Feb. 28. His retirement celebration will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Facilities Operations and Parking Services Building, Room 123.
- Joseph Clay, facilities maintenance technician mechanical trades located in zone 1, is retiring on Thursday, Feb. 28, after nearly 14 years of service.
