About Systems Development

The Department of Systems Development takes full advantage of the use of information technology to provide high quality business services to support the university’s mission of instruction, research, and public service.  The unit strives to employ state of the art information technology to improve accessibility to business related information thereby enhancing campus-wide fiscal management.  Systems Development is responsible for the analysis, functional design and implementation of information technology systems that support the business functions of the university.  The unit serves as the intermediary between university departmental end-users and the staff within the Information Technology organization.  When appropriate, the unit also serves as a liaison between departmental end-users and commercial software application providers.
