Facilities Management

UNC Charlotte Facilities Management Department is responsible for all facilities planning, operations, and capital construction. Capital expansion projects expenditures exceeded $350 million over the past four years.

The Department is responsible for all maintenance, repair, renovation construction, and operations of the real property of the University. This includes roads, grounds, athletic fields, buildings, and utility systems. Facilities Management also performs the housekeeping, waste management, and recycling functions. Our organization employs 358 full time staff and has an annual budget of $31 million.

The Mission of the Department is to plan, build, operate, and maintain the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for the benefit of its students, faculty, and staff. Its vision is to Create a Campus of Distinction.

Motor Fleet Administered Through Archibus System

Beginning July 1, 2008 Motor Fleet will be administered through the Archibus system. When a request is made it will be forwarded to the financial account manager (FAM) for approval and accounting information. Once the FAM has approved the request, it will come to Kathy Fisher for vehicle assignment or denial. The requestor will receive an e-mail much like the one they currently receive. The requestor, the driver and the FAM will be able to review any requests made through the Archibus system. Any staff or faculty that has an e-mail address is able to access Archibus. The user name and password is the Ninernet account (the same as your e-mail). Archibus can be accessed at the following address http://facilities.uncc.edu/Archibus/ .
